Size and Location
Approximately 36,000 employees work in Legacy. Consisting of 2,665 acres, it is divided north/south by Legacy Drive and east/west by the Dallas North Tollway. State Highway 121 is on the north boundary and Preston Road is on the east boundary.

Support Services
The Plano Fire and Police Departments share a 12,000-sq.-ft. station located within Legacy. An additional fire station will be constructed west of the
Dallas North Tollway in the near future.
Advanced voice and data communications are provided to the
Legacy community by diversely routed fiber-optic providers
such as Verizon, MCI, Southwestern Bell and AT&T. Each
access provider is connected to Inter-Exchange Carriers (IXC’s)
such as AT&T, MCI, Sprint, Broadwing, Level 3, WilTel and
Qwest Points of presence (POPs) located throughout the
Metroplex. Within Legacy, AT&T has POP and Verizon has a
central office location.
Reliable electricity service is provided through multiple transmission sources in concrete encased underground distribution systems.

EDS - 1985
Located on a 334-acre site, the EDS world headquarters is home to the world's largest computer complex. The multi-building campus totals 3,521,000 sq. ft. and can accommodate 15,000 employees.
The Frito-Lay Company - 1985
A national/international headquarters on a 227-acre site, the facility for this well-known snack food maker accommodates 2,500 employees.
Countrywide Home Loans - 1987
A 225,000 sq. ft. facility on a 21.5-acre site housing 1,000 employees. Countrywide expanded on an additional 17 acres to build 547,000 sq. ft. of office space for an expected 2,500 more employees.
JCPenney - 1992
This major clothing retailer has its 1,930,000 sq. ft. home office for 4,000 employees on a 429-acre site.
Dr Pepper/Seven Up - 1996
A subsidiary of Cadbury Schweppes plc, Dr Pepper/Seven Up is the largest non-cola soft drink enterprise in North America. The company constructed a new, campus-style, 750-employee facility in Legacy for its North American headquarters on a 25-acre site.
Center for American and International Law - 1996
An international center for continuing education for lawyers and law enforcement officials formerly known as Southwestern Legal Foundation, the Center will complete a 25,000 sq. ft., state-of-the-art building which will include headquarter offices and classrooms by August 2002.
Creekside Homes in Legacy - 1996
This luxury, 380-unit apartment complex offers amenities such as a fitness center, a video library and individual garages.
Waters Edge in Legacy - 1996
This 300-unit luxury apartment complex has a beautiful limestone exterior and is located in a wooded area next to White Rock Creek. It also features a state-of-the-art exercise room.
American Southwest Insurance Managers - 1997
This organization, made up of American Southwest Insurance and Statewide Claims Service, Inc., specializes in nonstandard auto insurance. The company occupies a 42,000 sq. ft., two-story headquarters building in Legacy.
MetaSolv Software - 1997
This provider of software and professional services for the telecommunications industry purchased a 53,000 sq. ft. building in Legacy to house 130 employees and has recently expanded its headquarters by 100,000 sq. ft. with plans for 400 more employees.
Legacy Bank of Texas - 1997
Formerly Plano Bank & Trust o First Bank, this bank's 82,000 sq. ft. headquarters in Legacy houses executive offices and a drive-in banking facility.
Denbury Resources - 1997
Denbury Resources, Inc., an independent oil and gas company has leased 50,000 sq. ft. of office space in a completed 100,000 sq. ft., four-story building. Approximately 100 employees occupy the new corporate headquarters building.

TLC on Hedgcoxe - 2002
TLC child development centers offer a full-time child development program for infants and children through private kindergarten, and after-school care for older children. TLC provides an excellent curriculum in a state-of-the-art, safe and secured environment. TLC on Hedgcoxe opened spring of 2002.
Marriott Residence Inn - 1997
The Marriott Residence Inn is an extended-stay, 126-suite hotel featuring fully equipped kitchens and separate living and sleeping areas in each.

Lincoln Place in Legacy - 1997
Lincoln Place I & II in Legacy are identical six-story office buildings, each 148,879 square feet. Developed and owned by Lincoln Property Company, the buildings house the offices of Salomon Smith Barney, GMAC Regional, Rent-A-Center, and this Fall 2002 will become corporate headquarters for Triad Hospitals, Inc.
SMU-in-Legacy - 1997
Southern Methodist University's expanded, off- campus center offers a full range of academic opportunities, including undergraduate and graduate programs.
Wellness International Network (WIN) - 1998
This multi-level marketing company specializing in nutritional, skin care and weight-loss products occupies a 70,000 sq. ft. headquarters in Legacy.
Merrill Lynch - 1998
This financial management and advisory company occupies one-third of Democracy Center, a 40,000 sq. ft. building at the northeast corner of Democracy Drive and the Dallas North Tollway.
The Domaine in Legacy - 1998
This luxury apartment community includes 270 living units, a third of which are town homes. Many units have private studios, and some are lakefront. The Domaine in Legacy also features a fitness area for residents.
Citizens Communications - 1998
One of the largest non-Bell telephone service providers in the United States located in a 250,000 sq. ft. building on a 27-acre site at the corner of Headquarters Drive and Parkwood Boulevard.
Tuscany Villas - 1999
This new, 328-home luxury apartment community offers residents access to a clubhouse, fitness center, business center and community activities.
TownePlace Suites - 1999
This 107 room, extended stay hotel opened two three-story buildings on Whitestone Lane. Its features include outdoor pool, exercise room and in-room kitchen facilities.
Lincoln R & D Center - 1999
Construction is complete on Phase I and Phase II of the Lincoln R & D Center, which provides industrial and office space. The four-building Phase I complex contains 182,000 sq. ft., and the three-building Phase II complex contains 107,000 sq. ft.
Ericsson Village - 1999
Construction is complete on the first of three buildings on this 500,000 sq. ft. campus that will be the future home of 1,700 employees. Ericsson is the leading provider of telecommunications solutions.
YMCA - 1999
The Plano Family YMCA in Legacy (formally the EDS Lifekey facility) is a premier 57,000 sq. ft. fitness facility, located at 5101 Tennyson Parkway, offering individual and family memberships.
Beal Bank - 2000
This Texas-owned state chartered savings and investment bank is based in Plano. Headquartered on a 25-acre site, this four- and five-story building can accommodate 650 employees.
Intuit Inc. - 2000
Intuit Inc. specializes in professional tax preparation software. The company currently occupies its Phase I building, a 165,000 sq. ft. campus-style facility that houses in excess of 400 employees.
Computer Associates - 2000
Computer Associates is one of the third largest ebusiness software companies. Legacy is home to its 220,000 sq. ft. southwest regional business center that is occupied by 575 employees.
7-Eleven - 2000
7-Eleven's 4,300 sq. ft. "store of the future" with multiple gasoline dispensers and a drive-thru window is located on Preston Road adjacent to EDS headquarters. The store serves as an outlet for EDS and 7-Eleven to test and develop new services such as the ability to order merchandise at the gasoline dispenser while fueling and pick it up at the drive-thru window.
AT&T Wireless - 2001
AT&T Wireless, the largest independently traded wireless carrier in the United States, currently occupies 103,000 sq. ft. in its first-phase building. The second facility is nearly 150,000 sq. ft. and is expected to be complete in 2002.
Children's Medical Center of Dallas - 2001
Located at the corner of Preston and Hedgcoxe, this pediatric healthcare facility will serve Collin and Denton counties. Currently in the planning stages, construction will begin September 2003, with the first phase being complete approximately a year after ground breaking and the final facility completed within three to five years.
Crossmark - 2002
Crossmark's 150,000 sq. ft. building will sit upon 23 acres located between EDS and Legacy Bank. Providing integrated, performance-based solutions in sales, marketing, technology and consulting, this new building for Crossmark will house 400 employees initially, with room to significantly expand.
Network Associates - 2002
Network Associates is the leading supplier of security and availability solutions for e-business. This new regional office, situated on 15.6 acres, will be home to 800 of Network Associates' 3,600 employees, with the option to hold up to 1,100 people.
EDS Credit Union - 2002
Situated near the EDS campus in a 26,000 sq. ft.
building, the Credit Union provides financial services to
anyone who lives or works in Collin County.
AmeriPlan – 2002
AmeriPlan USA Corporation is the nation’s premier Provider
Access Organization. Their 106,000 square foot corporate
headquarters facility is home to 250 employees.
Southwest Corporate Federal
Credit Union – 2002
As a credit union for credit unions, SCFCU provides credit
unions with ATM and debit card services, check processing,
Internet banking and electronic bill payment, investment
management solutions and much more. Currently based in
Dallas, their future headquarters in Legacy will accommodate
approximately 200 employees on this 7.5-acre site.
Advanced Neuromodulation Systems (ANS)
– 2002
ANS is building its new headquarters facility at Legacy. ASN
designs, develops, manufactures and markets implantable
neuromstimulators and drub pumps used to manage chronic
intractable pain and other disorders of the nervous system.
The new facility will house a clean room, the R&D, marketing
and administrative teams.
Pepsico – 2003
This 27-acre site is the home of PepsiCo’s Information
Technology Division and the Frito-Lay international
management team. This modern 284,000 sq. ft. building will
house 1,100 employees.
Texas Regional Heart Center – 2003
Texas Regional Heart Center, a Plano-based specialty
practice of 13 cardiologists serving 30,000 patients will
build a new 45,000-square foot office and laboratory with
plans to open in late 2004.
